Patient Communication Preferences¶
Each patient can set their preferred communication channels — email, SMS, or both — for different types of messages from your practice.
DPC Pro sends patients a variety of communications: appointment reminders, billing receipts, secure messages from providers, and practice announcements. Patients can indicate their preferred channels, and your practice can configure default settings that apply to new enrollees.
This page covers how communication preferences are set, what types of messages are affected, and how your team can view or update a patient's preferences. Respecting communication preferences improves patient satisfaction and reduces opt-outs.
Preferences are managed at the patient level and can be updated by the patient through their portal or by staff from the patient record.
